Martial Art History
 

1985-1987 Joined Wu Shu Kung Fu Laguna Association. Received a 2nd degree (equivalent to a blue belt in Tae Kwon Do).

1987 Joined the Pomona High School Association of Chang Moo Kwan Tae Kwon Do under Mr.George Fullerton.

1988 Received 1st place Forms and Sparring white senior division, Pomona High.

1988-1989 Received "Most Improved Fighter Award." Trophy.

1989 Received 2nd place Forms blue senior division, Pomona High Tournament.

1989-1992 Assistant instructor for Pomona High Martial Arts Club.

1991 Received 2nd place forms red senior division, Pomona High Tournament.

1992-1993 Head Instructor for Palomares Jr. High.

1994 Received 2nd place Forms Black Belt division, Pomona High Tournament.

1993-1995 Started teaching private students at the World of Difference in Ontario Ca, later moved to Pomona and the name was changed to the "Black Belt Center."

1993 Received 1st Dan Black Belt  ( Tested in 1992, one year waiting period)

1995 Joined the Los Angeles Police Volunteer Unit. Taught basic self defense to full time Police Officers, reserve officers and Volunteers.                                                                         

1995-1996 Received instruction on Brazilian Jiu-jitsu

1995-1996 Received " Instructor of the Year " Plaque.

1996 Received 2nd Dan Black Belt.  (Tested in 1995, one year waiting period)

1996 Hollenbeck division, LA. California ( Instructed over 250 LAPD officers in Street Survival and Weaponless Defense ).

1997 November, Coordinated a Rape Prevention/ Self Defense class for the staff of San Antonio Community Hospital in Upland California (and many other subsequent seminars).

1995-98 Head Instructor for the Black Belt Center Pomona California.

1998 Received 3rd Dan World Chang Moo Kwan Under GM Nam Suk Lee.

1998 Received letter of Appreciation from Nam Suk Lee for promoting Chang Moo Kwan Tae   Kwon Do.
1998 Received letter of Appointment as a certified World Chang Moo Kwan  Instructor.
1998 Received Certificate of Admission to the World Chang Moo Kwan Association.  ( Official Dojang and Instructor of   Chang Moo Kwan .

1998 Received Certification of  Kukkiwon from Korea, The World Governing of TKD Body.

1999 to 2004 Head instructor of the Upland YMCA Black Belt Center Chang Moo Kwan  Team.
2000 Awarded 4th Dan Black Belt in World Chang Moo Kwan under GM Nam Suk Lee
2000 Graduated from the Police Academy
2000 Hired as a Peace Officer with a Southern California Agency.
2002 Awarded the rank of 5th Dan Black belt for findings, contributions to the art of CMK
          and its promotion, to the students and to the community. 
2008 Head instructor of the "Street Smart" Program at the Redlands Community Center.
2008 Earned Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice Administration from National University.
2010 Continuation Training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under professor Jerry Jenkins Gracie Black Belt
2010 November- Earned BJJ Blue Belt.  "A new journey in my Martial Arts Training."
2010 December MMA Training seminar at Xtreme Couture, Las Vegas Nevada.
2010 Police Officer of the Year Southern California Agency.
2011-February: Started training at a new Brazilian Jiu Jitsu home with WEC/UFC Gracie Jiu Jitsu Fighter Javier "Showtime" Vazquez.
2011- June 9th Police and Fire Games Second Place Submission Grappling Silver Medal.
